Things to consider before buying a new digital camera
1) Is there a particular budget you’d like to stay under/around? ($400-$600, $1000 – $2000, etc)
2) What will be primary types of photographs taken? (ie: Landscapes, children playing, animal photos, travel photos)
3) What is past photography experience? (ie: ever owned a film slr? have you used point-and-shoot digitals before?)
4) Is size/weight a concern? (some larger heavier cameras have more features than lightweight, smaller cameras)
5) Is buying used something you’d like to consider to save $$$ ? (we buy many of our cameras used from reputable sources)
6) Do you plan on using any OLD lenses that you’ve perhaps inherited from a family member’s OLD camera??
7) What type of computer do you plan on using to edit/organize your images? How old is the computer?
All of these questions help us identify the best type of camera for your specific, individual needs and can also help us tailor our private photography lesson for your camera and primary usage habits.

I am wanting to buy a new camera. I currently own a basic point and shoot. I would like to get the new camera and then have a one on one session to learn the basics of my camera and how to effectively use it. I have been looking around at differnt brads and designs and I honestly have no idea where to even begin. i would mostly just use my camera for snapping pictures of my family and vacations. I love taking pictures and use my basic point and shoot at least 2-3 times a week. I would like to stay under $1000. Weight and size really do not matter to me. Thank you

I would like to take pictures of landscapes or nature and I haven’t bought a camera yet. I need to keep the price low and would consider a used one. What do you recommend? I would also be interested in private lessons, also.
Thanks.

My daughter is not a professional photographer but has a real eye taking photos.
I want to buy her a really nice camera. She has a nice digital now, but am looking for a step above that.
What brands and styles would you recommend? I am looking to not pay more than $800, as this is her hobby not profession.
Her photos are scenic and since she loves capturing a true depth in all shots, I want her to have a better camera as I strongly believe as gorgeous as her photos are with her digital, they have the potential to be even greater.
Thank you for helping me with this, Deborah

Hi! Ahhh! I LOVE photography! I am asking for a camera for my birthday- I love to take pictures of anything and everything- to little kiddos playing, scenery, and much more! Weddings are my passion—to learn MORE! Will you guys been having fall sessions for lessons??
Also- Nikon 5100…?? A good friend of mine loves her camera and that’s what she has…your suggestions on a good “starter/does everything camera”?? Thank you! Cannot wait to here back from you 🙂
